When we built Mass Innovation Labs, the goal was to make research move as fast as thought. That meant removing friction wherever it hid, even in notebooks.

By 2017, we had already partnered with RSpace to bring electronic lab notebooks to every tenant. Our idea was simple: data should be as mobile and modular as the space around it.

These steps prefigured SmartLabs' proprietary Lab Operating System, proving that laboratory performance could be engineered not only through architecture but also through software.
