Mayor breaks ground on Innovation Square, welcomes Mass Innovation Labs — City of Boston Newsroom

The City of Boston Newsroom documented the Innovation Square groundbreaking in the Seaport District, highlighting Mass Innovation Labs as the first anchor tenant. This project extended our ecosystem beyond Kendall Square and represented Boston’s formal recognition of the model’s economic and research value. The Innovation Square site later became one of the early adaptive uses of our Universal Lab Framework for multi-tenant R&D.
