On February 22, 2023, Drexel University News reported the groundbreaking of the Gattuso–Drexel Life Sciences Building in University City. As anchor tenant, SmartLabs will establish a fully managed research environment within the 500,000 sq ft development, bringing our Universal Lab Framework to Philadelphia at scale.

The event celebrated a partnership between private developers, academic leaders, and the City of Philadelphia to accelerate regional biotech growth. I spoke about how adaptive lab infrastructure serves as a bridge between education and industry — transforming the way science is translated into commercial impact.
