Capital & Investment Coverage, $250 Million Series B

In September 2021, SmartLabs closed a $250 million Series B round led by ArrowMark Partners with participation from Winslow Capital, Onex Falcon, Breed's Hill Capital, and Conversion Ventures. The financing was arranged in partnership with Morgan Stanley's investment-banking group.

The capital accelerated the national build-out of our platform and advanced the Lab Operating System, a digitally connected architecture linking design, operations, compliance, and data across facilities.

At the time, the transaction ranked among the 15 largest private-equity and venture funding rounds globally. It signaled that investors had begun to view scientific infrastructure as a technology platform in its own right, scalable, capital-efficient, and mission-critical to innovation.
